Though heels do make us feel more elegant, hobbling about, or even worse, having to take them off, is not the ideal way to spend some fun time with friends. At the height of summer, flat sandals also offer an ideal choice. There are plenty of stylised flip flop type sandals that feature sparkly embellishments or floral designs. If you are someone who is very uncomfortable in flats then a good alternative could be a pair of wedges. These come in a variety of heel heights and are far less likely to sink in the grass than ordinary heels.
Cropped trousers
Cropped trousers might be high on the fashion agenda right now but they’re the perfect choice for garden parties or barbecues in their own right. Choose from elegant and chic cropped Capri trousers for a sophisticated touch or a more relaxed drawstring linen style for casual get-togethers. Capri trousers look great with flat shoes or heels depending on the occasion.
Maxi Dresses
Dresses are a good choice for any event but the maxi dress is ultra-feminine and suits any body type. They can be dressed up or down to suit relaxed or more formal garden events. For a garden party, going for a relaxed look will work really well without looking too casual. Pairing a maxi dress with flat sandals and plenty of sparkle in your jewellery will be a comfortable look that looks well put-together.
